Earth day
April 22nd was Earth Day. There were many initiatives to remember this day but perhaps the most important learning we should embrace is to think and make everyday as the Earth day, to take good care of it as it deserves.

El 22 de abril se celebró el día de la tierra. Hubieron muchas iniciativas para recordar este dia pero quizá la lección más importante que deberíamos tener es pensar y hacer que todos los días sean el día de la Tierra, para cuidarla como se merece.

In line with taking care of the earth and nature, we thank Edda for sharing the following information:
" A growing number of countries are crushing their ivory stockpiles in a stand against a deadly trade. The US and China have crushed 12 tons of confiscated ivory. Prince William vowed to destroy Buckingham palace's extensive collection. Other countries involved are France and Philippines. The symbolic crushes were executed in an effort to stop the annual slaughter of an estimated 30,000 African elephants."

" Un número en crecimiento de países están destruyendo una gran cantidad de marfil en una iniciativa contra un comercio mortal. Los Estados Unidos y China han destruido 12 toneladas de marfil confiscado. El príncipe William voto para destruir la extensa colección del palacio de Buckingham. Otros países involucrados son Francia y Filipinas. Estos destrozos simbólicos se realizaron en un esfuerzo para detener la matanza de un estimado de 30,000 elefantes africanos anualmente."
