Latinoamérica continúa creciendo

Según la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe, CEPAL, en el 2013 la economía de esta región crecerá alrededor de 3,8%. La región terminará el 2012 con un crecimiento de 3.1%, superando el crecimiento esperado de 2.2% de la economía mundial. La CEPAL destacó la capacidad de resiliencia de esta región para enfrentar choques de origen externo como la crisis económica global. Los países liderando el crecimiento son Panamá y Perú.

Latin America continues to grow

According to the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), in 2013 the region will grow by around 3.8%. The region will finish 2012 with GDP growth of 3.1%, which is higher than the expected figures of 2.2% for world growth. ECLAC highlighted the region’s resilience to external shocks like the world economic crisis. The countries leading the growth are Panama and Peru.

Un cuento escrito tempranamente por Hans Christian Andersen ha sido encontrado en Dinamarca. Se cree que el cuento fue escrito cuando Andersen todavía estaba en el colegio. La historia trata sobre una vela que tiene problemas para encontrar su lugar en el mundo hasta que una caja de yesca descubre su belleza interior iluminándola. Una hermosa y significativa historia del autor de algunos de los cuentos infantiles más celebrados en el mundo como “El Patito Feo” y “La Sirenita”.

One more story 

An early story written by Hans Christian Andersen has been found in Denmark, believed to have been written when he was still a schoolboy. The story is about a candle that has trouble finding its purpose in the world until a tinder box discovers its inner beauty by lighting it. A beautiful and meaningful story from the writer of some of the most celebrated fairy tales in the world, such as “The Ugly Duckling” and “The Little Mermaid”.
