Cincuenta años de amistad
Francia y Alemania celebraron la amistad sellada por el tratado del Eliseo, que fue firmado hace cincuenta años, el 22 de Enero de 1963. Ambos países fueron clave para el surgimiento de la Unión Europea. A pesar de enfrentar tiempos difíciles y desacuerdos, la conmemoración de este tratado reafirma la amistad entre ambos países.
Fifty years of friendship
France and Germany celebrated the friendship sealed by the Elysee Treaty, signed fifty years ago, on January 22nd, 1963. Both countries were key for the European Union to emerge. Despite facing difficult times and disagreements, the celebrations reaffirm the friendship between both countries.
Orquídeas
Una exposición que resalta la importancia de las orquídeas en las tradiciones folclóricas y culturales de Latinoamérica será presentada por el Museo Nacional de Historia Natural del Smithsonian. Los participantes podrán aprender sobre la riqueza de la botánica y horticultura de orquídeas, así como también de los esfuerzos para su conservación.
Orchids
An exhibit looking at the importance of orchids in Latin America folklore and cultural traditions will be presented at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. Participants will be able to learn about the richness of orchid botany and horticulture as well as preservation efforts.
